City of Jeffers - City Council Meeting

The Jeffers City Council met in REGULAR session on August 27, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. at City Hall. Present: Mayor Brad Prins, Council members: Roberta Duroe, Curt Determan, Sheila Ryker, Shawna Dorr-Jones. Sharen Goeman, Clerk, Lance Holmen, Maintenance.

Mayor Prins called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. Minutes from the August 13, 2012 meeting were approved as read.

John and Peggy Hubley were present to discuss forming a committee to start cleaning up the city.

The clerk spoke with the City Attorney and he recommended the city contact the Sheriff’s office regarding a resident violating an ordinance and request they issue a criminal citation.

Motion Ryker, second, Dorr-Jones, unanimous vote to have the clerk contact the Sheriff’s office regarding the violation.

The clerk presented a proposed 2013 budget and 2013 levy for review.

Motion Dorr-Jones, second Duroe, unanimous vote to approve the budget and the 17% levy of $146,250.

Knife River will tentatively be paving Woodman the 2nd week of September.

Motion Dorr-Jones, second Duroe, unanimous vote to pay all bills and approve the financial report.

Motion Ryker, second Determan, unanimous vote to adjourn at 9:00 p.m. having no further business.
